When high-pressure water cleaning machines are in operation, the severe vibrations generate high-decibel noise, a key concern for customers. Despite various noise-reduction attempts by FE-MOVAC Precision, no significant progress was made.
In mid-September, a striking device, resembling a peacock spreading its tail, appeared in FE-MOVAC Precision's workshop. As the high-pressure water cleaning machine operated, the central screen displayed different colors corresponding to the noise. An engineer was carefully monitoring the values and color changes on the screen. This was a noise detector from the sister company, Carcoustics, locating the noise sources of the high-pressure water cleaning machine.
This stylish noise detector, with German detection technology for automotive noise-detection, was introduced to FE-MOVAC Precision via group-internal resource-sharing, blessing high-pressure water cleaning machines. It pinpoints noise sources. After intervening at these sources, the machine's noise level dropped by 10% in operation, marking a great progress in solving customer noise issues.
The collaboration with Carcoustics provided learning opportunities for both parties. By incorporating new technologies, skills, and ideas from the sister company, and combining them with in-house innovation, discovery, and the company's strengths, FE-MOVAC Precision efficiently resolved the long-standing noise issue. This collaboration greatly saved R&D investment, reduced development costs, and effectively shortened the problem-solving time.
This cooperation also promoted resource integration, maximizing the utility of limited resources. The application of Carcoustics's noise positioning detector in FE-MOVAC Precision's products expanded its use in the high-pressure cleaning niche, significantly enhancing the maximization of the value of corporate resources.
Moving forward, we will continue to expand collaboration with sister companies, working together to build the DARE GROUP.
